You can earn a digital badge in just 20 minutes through the Salesforce Trailhead Learning Platform. Salesforce is the premier Customer Relationship Management Software on the market today. Trailhead provides tutorials and training and they hook you on their platform because of the great gamification! I have 51 badges, 13,750 points and I’m an Adventurer Rank (4th rank out of 7), but who’s counting! You can check out my Salesforce badges HERE.
But Salesforce Trailhead is serious business. In fact, Salesforce’s stated goal for setting up their online learning platform is to create 3.3 million NEW Salesforce Jobs by 2022:
By 2022, the Salesforce ecosystem will create 3.3 million jobs worldwide. A significant percentage of those jobs require candidates know how to code and have experience with Salesforce. As Trailhead reports, the average Salesforce developer salary is $125,000 in the US and the ecosystem added over 10,000 jobs in the last 12 months. For a Salesforce Admin, it’s $95,000 and the ecosystem added over 4,500 jobs in the last year.
The badge I discuss in the video below, which can be earned in just 20 minutes, is called: “Customer Service in the Fourth Industrial Revolution“. It’s comprised of two great articles on the transformation taking place in society and a discussion of the four different generational groups in the workforce today: Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z. Each article has a 3 question quiz at the end of each, which are not difficult at all and I walk you through each learning activity in the video with answers to the quiz questions.
30 Salesforce badges that take 20 minutes each
There are 30 badges that can be earned in just 20 minutes on Trailhead, and in fact, there are 14 badges that take just 10 minutes! You could earn 30 Salesforce badges in just 10 hours. That’s the amount of time it takes to earn just 3 IBM digital badges averaging 4 hours per badge. In fact, if you’re just getting started, the three IBM badges I would recommend are:
Of course, the IBM badges are more in depth than a single 20 minute Salesforce Badge, but I think the Salesforce badges are a great way to get you exposed to the process of earning digital badges in a short amount of time. Here are a few examples – notice out of these 9 (out of 523 options), there are 2 that take 20 minutes and one that takes 10 minutes:
Here’s the instructional video with 4 avatars that I’ve “employed” using a program called Crazy Talk 7. If you’d like to learn how to use Crazy Talk , the video recording software I used called Open Broadcaster Software which is FREE, and the video editing software I used to create this video called Camtasia (free Trial for 30 days), please join the Upskill Create Community below and send me a message in the community and we can set up a training session. It’s easier than you think!
Note: you may want to make this video full screen as there’s lots of detail here.
